Mercedes in 1-2 win for 2012 DTM Opener

The much awaited season opener for 2012 DTM was held in Hockenheim last weekend. It was an exciting match, with Mercedes AMG C-coupe taking the 1-2 positions. It was a great run for Gary Paffett, which started from the 6th position from the grid and took the 1st position by storm. Jamie Green started and finished the race on the second position. It was a bit unlucky for Mattias Ekstrom’s Red Bull Audi A5 DTM, as he was only able to finish third although he started from the pole.

1. #11 Gary Paffett Thomas Sabo Mercedes AMG C-Coupe (1:04:37.615)
2. #5 Jamie Green Mercedes AMG C-Coupe (+ 04.709)
3. #3 Mattias Ekstrom Red Bull Audi A5 DTM (+ 19.434)
