Audi’s Dominating 1-2-3 win at Zandvoort

Round 7 of 2012 DTM was held last weekend at Zandvoort, Netherlands. There was intermittent rain and the race was filled with actions and suspense. Edoardo Mortara with his Audi A5 DTM emerged as the winner after 43 laps of intense racing. 2 more Audi A5s crossed the chequered flag shortly. The top three positions belong to Audi and Jamie Green with his Mercedes-Benz C-Coupe finished fourth.

BMW wins at Nuerburgring

The round 6 of DTM was held at the legendary Nuerburgring over the weekend. The 49 laps of the 3.629 kilometres long Eifel circuit was attended by 89,000 die-heart fans. Bruno Spengler with his BWM M3 DTM was the first to cross the finish line. This is his second win of the season.

Super GT Round 5 Suzuka Updates

Round 5 of 2012 Super GT was held last weekend at Suzuka, Japan. This 1,000kms (173 laps of the 5.807km circuit) round was extremely challenging for the GT drivers, as the temperatures on the car was up to 60 Celcius! Imagine driving in that condition for almost 6 hours (2-3 hours for each driver), that was quite a feat.

The GT500 car Keihin HSV had a bad accident which saw his car lost control and smashed the wall. Luckily the driver Koudai Tsukakoshi was not injured. See the crash in the video below, you will be amazed that the driver was okay.

The GT300 category was won by triple a vantage GT3, which started the race from the last place! How on earth did they manage to do it?

Porsche Dominance at ADAC Masters Red Bull Ring

The ADAC Masters Weekend was held on the Red Bull Ring in Austria last weekend (10th to 12th August). The event was supported by 9,700 GT racing fans. Both race 1 and race 2 were dominated by Porsche 911 GT3 Rs, the best results for others makes was Ford GT GT3, taking third place in race 2.

Historic Wins at Round 4 Sugo, Super GT 2012

The round 4 of Super GT 2012 was held on 29th July, at Sportsland SUGO, Japan. It has been a historic win for both GT500 and GT300 winners. The GT500 racer #6 ENEOS SUSTINA SC430 (Daisuke Ito and Kazuya Oshima) took their first win in nine years! For GT300 category, the S Road NDDP GT-R driven by Yuhi Sekiguchi and Katsumasa Chiyo claimed their first ever victory. The spotlight was also focused on the other 2 Nissan GT-Rs, the #12 Team Impul Nissan GT-R and #23 Nismo Nissan GT-R collided and both were out of the race while they were both taking second and third spot during the race.

1-2 win for Audi in 24 Hours of Spa

The Total 24 hours of Spa saw Audi claimed a one-two win, after a total of more than 500 laps! The Audi LMS Ultra has proven to be a fearful beast when it comes to endurance races. The Audi LMS Ultra has already won 3 major European 24-hour races (Le Mans,Nurburgring and Spa) this year, which is a never-before feat for other teams.

Are you ready for Total 24 Hours of Spa?

Yes, one of the world most renowned endurance race is going to flag off this weekend. All the teams are preparing and the Qualifying race was really entertaining. The No.66 Vita4One Z4 taking top spot overall in the day and night sessions at Spa-Francorchamps with the time of 2:19.473. McLarens of Total 24 Hours of Spa

Rated as one of the world’s toughest endurance racing events, the Total 24 Hours of Spa (also the Round 4 of Blancpain Endurance Series), will be held this weekend at Belgium’s Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps. There will be over 60 GT3 racings cars competing in this highly rated event.

There will be 12 brands, including Audi, Aston Martin, BMW, Ferrari, Jaguar, Lamborghini, McLaren, Mercedes, Nissan and Porsche. A total of 12 McLaren MP4-12C GT3 will be fielded and we can’t wait to see them now! We are sure that McLaren MP4-12C will achieve good results although it’s only their maiden year.
